The Prophet Muhammad (SAAWS) said "Whoever reads Surah Al-Kahf on the day of Jumuah, will have a light that will shine from him from one Friday to the next.". Classed as 'Saheeh' by Sheikh Al-Albaani in Saheeh Al-Jaami: 6470. Surah Al-Kahf (The Cave: 18) can be read on the night of Jumu'a (Thursday after sunset), and on the day of Jumu'a (Friday) till sunset. So the time for reading Surah Al-Kahf (The Cave: 18) extends from sunset on Thursday to sunset on Friday.

It is reported in the hadith tradition that Anas (RAA) stated that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: " I beseech forgiveness from Allah who has no other deity besides Him, the Ever-living, the Self sustaining and I repent to Him;' whoever says this three times Allah will forgive his sins even if they are like the froth of the sea."

After Juma'h it is beneficial to take a few minutes to say the following prayer; it is reported by Aisha (RAA) that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Whoever reads the following after Juma'h prayer; (the three Quls seven times) Allah will protect them from harm until the next Juma'h." The 3 Quls are the last 3 Surahs in the Quran, Al-Ikhlas (The Sincerity - 112), Al-Falaq (The Daybreak - 113), and An-Nas (The Mankind - 114).

The best source for learning Islam

Avoid getting your information about Islam from a biased source, the news media, or from some websites because the information might be biased, incorrect, or manipulated to meet their specific agenda such as to spread hate and disunite Us!

What Islam Teaches?

  • Love - Love your neighbors without regard to their religious belief, race, gender or color
  • Respect - Respect your neighbors, their honor and their property
  • Protect - Protect your neighbor from any harm (physical or mental)
  • Help - Help your neighbor or any one needing help without regard to religion, race, gender, ethnic background, or color

The above also applies to other creation of Allah such as our Earth, Animals and Jinns! Remember, every good deed you perform towards someone (again, without regard to religion, race, and so on), or animals, Allah will rewards you either here in this world, or in the hereafter!
